“Christ was out there where the people are. I think we need to be active in our roles and understand that we are strategically placed to bring people into the Kingdom.”
— Shiraz Siddique [MTS Modular 2016]
Shiraz Siddique [MTS Modular 2016] says he feels Christians in the secular workplace have an advantage when it comes to sharing the Gospel. “We live every day at the borderlands,” he says. “Christ was out there where the people are. I think we need to be active in our roles and understand that we are strategically placed to bring people into the Kingdom.”
Shiraz lives out his witness relationally by fostering strong relationships with his co-workers. Conversations have led to them attending church either for the first time, or after many years away. He also mentors co-workers on what it means to live out their faith in the workplace.
The MTS program has helped him use his Biblical and Theological foundation as a jumping point into conversations. “It doesn’t always have to be a moment where they accept Christ on the spot,” he says. “If I can invest in their lives in a worthwhile way, then I feel that they will remember the impact. And if they remember the impact then you have to trust that the Holy Spirit will do His part.”
